Is Jihad really for peace

Word Jihad is one of the most controversial terms between Muslims and Non-Muslim west. For West Jihad means forms of terrorism, extremism, and fundamentalism and for Muslims in general it is considered an integral part of their faith. Both parties have their arguments. The Western media tends to present jihad as a sole reason for destabilization of the modern world but on the other hand Muslims who are actively involved in Jihad believe they are striving for long lasting peace. They have a belief that with the power of Jihad they can finish the hegemony of USA. And there is a third party also. They are Muslims who are in line with West against today’s Jihad. They think that though Jihad is an obligatory duty but it can not be fought privately instead only a state can declare Jihad and state forces of a Muslim country will perform this duty of Jihad. What is the correct opinion, no one has the exact answer as one party will not believe the other. You may think that the point of view of Muslim governments and West is similar but in my view this is not true. West in general have an understanding that Jihad means violence and it has nothing to do with civilized governments.

One thing the West does not know or does not understand is that no Muslim whether westernized or not, can not deny Jihad. They may tell you that this is Jihad and this is not but they can’t say that Jihad is not a part of Islam. I am not talking about ‘Jihad bin Nafs’ which means to work hard to overcome ones personal wrong desires. I am talking about the armed Jihad in which people kill and are killed. This Jihad is no doubt a part of Islam and you can’t find even a single Muslim on the face of earth who will say no, armed Jihad is not a part of Islam. If someone claims contrary to my opinion you can show him ‘The Quraan’. It is full of Jihad. Quraan uses the word ‘Qital’ for armed Jihad. Qital is from ‘Qatl’ which means ‘killing’. So killing and being killed is a part of Islam and in Quraan and Hadeeth, Allah and His last Prophet tell the believers that if they kill a non believer or got killed by a non believer they will get paradise without being questioned on the Day of Judgment.

Now the question is Is it wrong or right to kill and got killed..? In what circumstances it is right and in what circumstances it is wrong or there should be unconditional no to any kind of killing. I have started a topic and people are invited to share their comments. Till then I hold my further opinion.
Take care, good bye.

This is a vedio I got from youtube where Muslim Mujahideen are givig tribute to a top commander killed in Chachnya while performing 'Jihad' against Russia. Russia celebrated his death a biggest victory. Who won...? Allah knows better.!
